The Dallas Area Woodturners primary mission is to promote and educate in the crafted art of woodturning.
Education: At club meetings and other special occasions, demonstrations on a wide variety of topics are presented by club members and professional turners. The club also sponsors classes and workshops taught by local, regional and national instructors.
Demonstrations: DAW demonstrates at other venues from time to time by turning at schools, local wood stores, art galleries, and civic clubs.
Club Library: DAW has built an extensive library of woodturning books, magazines, and videos that are available to members for checkout.
Mentors: There are a number of excellent turners in our club and a few have volunteered to be mentors to those that need a little (or a lot) of guidance in woodturning. Those wanting help, please contact the mentor you wish to work and schedule some time together. Link to mentor list.
YouTube videos: Most of our club demonstrations are captured as video files that are uploaded to our DAW YouTube channel.
Tools Library: DAW has started acquiring specialized tools that are available to members for checkout.
